As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the "Trojan Family," which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is.The USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Hematology is seeking a full-time inpatient Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join its team. Under the direction of a supervising physician, the APP will perform therapeutic, preventive and health maintenance services, including but not limited to Bone Marrow Biopsies and intra-thecal chemotherapy. The incumbent will obtain medical histories from patients with blood cancers and those undergoing bone marrow (stem cell) transplantation. Current and valid California State licenses, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification are required. Preferred experience includes acute care, BMT, and clinical nursing.Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the incumbent performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsels patients and families, monitors patient progress, and assists with medical research projects. Works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, while retaining responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000.
