The ITSM Software Development Engineer
acts as a Business Consultant for ITSM Suites such as Remedy ARS or ServiceNow, assists Solution Architects with design and platform architecture. The ISTM Development Engineer is able to assess the business impact of specific technologies and proposed strategies and to identify and address technical or operational risks.Position Responsibility:Engineers ITSM Suite such as Remedy ARS or ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) Implementation for Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Schedule Management, to include workflows, business rule customization, and scriptingProposes the shared data needs between the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Asset Management, and Event Management / Integration and related ITSM/ITIL processes cross platform and unique provider contractsUtilizes current ITIL best practices for CMDB procedures and provides input or feedback for continuous improvementPlans for data ingestion and integration from different customer sources, makes design recommendations on that data, and works to reconcile data based on the chosen authoritative sourceITSM Suite Service Portal Implementation and CustomizationDevelops Service Portal widgets and capabilitiesLeverages UI policies, UI actions, and client scriptsITSM Suite OrchestrationDevelops WorkflowsImplements ITSM Suite users, groups, roles, and ACL managementDevelops applications and modules using scripted REST APIs and customized notifications, approvals, and inbound email actionsRequired Qualifications:Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance with PolygraphA Bachelor’s Degree OR advanced degree in a related fieldA minimum of 10 years' technical experienceExperience working on complex ITSM Suite projects where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluationExcellent oral and written communication skillsAt least a minimal understanding of a scripting language (Java is preferred)Desired Qualifications:ITSM Suite Administrator Certificate OR ability to secure it (Remedy ARS / Service Now)Strong technical background in Cloud ArchitectureKnowledge of at least one operating system: Linux, Unix, WindowsPrior experience as an administrator or architect in any of the well-known operating systems is helpfulKnowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNSA high-level understanding of key security concepts, such as firewall design-
