Serve as a Senior Engineer within the Power Electronics Department based in our Applied Chiller group in New Freedom, PA! Candidates must be commuting distance or open to relocation.Responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining power electronics products and systems for Johnson Controls’ chiller applications.Determine the best techniques, procedures and/or theories as they apply to the development of power electronics products and systems.Create compliance procedures for the development of electrical/electronic circuitry designs.Define and interpret design specifications; design electrical/electronic circuitry to meet specified requirements; and analyze product design requirements and recommend solutions.Prepare and coordinate the release of documentation to support component design and manufacturing.Participate in all aspects of preliminary design and systems architecture, and conduct analysis of the cost impacts of proposed modifications, upgrades, and new implementations of application software.Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications or major modifications of existing systems.Work with other engineers, designers, and technicians on specific work assignments.Forecast and schedule work activities, and define processes for repetitive tasks.Act as the technical lead for troubleshooting field and factory issues on the range of power electronics products and systems on Johnson Controls’ chillers.Travel to visit customers, Johnson Controls’ factories, vendors, and/or professional conferences as business needs.How you will do it

Required

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics.Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in the field of power electronics or electrical engineering.Ph.D. degree with focus in Power Electronics.Strong experience in power electronics controls.Strong experience in IGBT based inverters.Strong experience with advanced tools such as Matlab/Simulink, OPAL-RT, Saber.Johnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
