Job DescriptionHCH Enterprises, LLC is seeking a

System Integrator-Senior . This is a full-time position with HCH Enterprises, LLC and a contract position with the state of Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island State Health Laboratories maintains a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the Center for Biological Sciences. This system is central to the tracking of specimens through the analytical testing process including pre- and post-analytical phases. This position will collaborate with laboratory stakeholders, subject matter experts, LIMS Vendor partners, and State IT professionals to document and audit the current LIMS laboratory workflow processes and functionality to capture implementation requirements for a new LIMS. The expected outcomes of the information gathered by this position include a thorough gap analysis, identification of potential points of improvement, innovation, or mandatory required mitigation. The position must be able to perform hands-on tracking and mitigating issues as the project progresses. A successful incumbent fulfilling these roles and responsibilities will significantly contribute to the success of the State Health Laboratories by improving data management, efficiency, and compliance.

Core Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

Understanding the laboratory's specific needs, workflows, and data management requirements to inform the LIMS implementation strategy.

System Configuration:

Providing requirements to the LIMS vendor for customizing the LIMS software to match the laboratory's specific requirements, including data structures, workflows, and reporting.

Data Migration:

Assist in evaluating strategies for transferring existing laboratory data into the new LIMS system accurately and efficiently.

User Training:

Developing and delivering training programs to laboratory staff on how to effectively use the LIMS system.

System Validation:

Ensuring the LIMS system meets regulatory compliance standards and performs as expected.

Go-Live Support:

Providing on-site or remote support during the initial implementation and system launch.

Post-Implementation Support:

Offering ongoing support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.

Additional Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Overseeing the LIMS implementation project, including timelines, budget, and resource allocation.

Change Management:

Managing the transition to the new LIMS system, addressing concerns, and fostering user adoption.

Process Improvement:

Identifying opportunities to optimize laboratory workflows and improve efficiency through LIMS utilization.

System Integration:

Integrating the LIMS with other laboratory systems, such as instruments and data management platforms.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Generating reports and analyzing data to identify trends and improve laboratory performance.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of laboratory operations and workflows.

Expertise in LIMS software and configuration.

Project management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Technical proficiency in database management and software applications.

Education and Experience:

3 to 5 years of practical experience with Lab Information Systems, Middleware solutions, Laboratory Automation, HL7/ASTM Standards, Clinical Data Management, Clinical Systems Integration.

BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Biological Sciences, or Medical Technologies.

Projected start date:

9/17/24.

Estimated length of contract:

ten months.

This is an onsite position in Providence, RI.

Annual compensation range:

$114k-$125k.
