ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SUPPORTING DUTIES:Oversees preparation of ALM reports, trends, and analyses. Prepares relevant reports/packet for the Board’s ALM / Policy Committee, presents related information, and serves as an active member of the committee.Maintains proper controls and processes to ensure financial reports are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.Works closely with President/Chief Executive Officer, EVP/Chief Financial Officer, Accounting Manager, members of the Supervisory Committee, external auditors, and examiners.Analyzes costs, activities, operations, and forecasts data to determine Credit Union progress towards stated goals.Oversees the preparation of financial reports to include reviews, analysis, and interpretations. Assists with presenting reports to leaders and executive teams when applicable.Responsible for the preparation of budget and periodic analysis of budget projections, variances, and profitability.Works with others in proposing interest rates for deposits and loans, ensuring proper pricing of assets and liabilities considering impacts to asset/liability, liquidity, and net income margin management.Evaluates costs and benefits of new projects and services. Makes recommendations based on cost, break-even points, etc.Maintains statistical and financial information items and prepares monthly and annual financial statements along with monthly board presentation materials.Responsible for the daily monitoring of excess cash and borrowing position and preparation and review of cash flow reports.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, or related Business field plus a professional certification or post graduate degree.Required Experience:

8-10 years in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership position.Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards, including credit union-specific rules and compliance requirements. Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements related to finance.Skills and Abilities:Ability to adhere to BayPort Credit Union’s Core Values: Integrity, Be Bold, Compassion, Diversity, Innovation, It’s On Me, and One Team.Ability to formulate and implement long-term financial strategies and plans to support organizational goals.Proficient in analyzing financial statements, metrics, and key performance indicators to drive decision-making.Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and integrity in financial practices and decision-making.Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proficient in financial software and systems, including accounting software, ERP systems, and financial modeling tools.Ability to identify financial issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions to address challenges.
