CNC Swiss Programmer / Supervisor

to our growing team!

CNC Star Swiss Programmer / Supervisor will be responsible for programming, setting up, and overseeing the operation of CNC Swiss machines and department. Ensures the production of high-precision components for aerospace and defense applications, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities

Programming and Setup:Develop and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes using Part Maker.

Set up machines, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling.

Adjust machine settings to meet specific job requirements.

Supervision and Leadership:Lead and supervise a team of machinists and operators.

Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.

Schedule and coordinate daily production activities.

Quality Control:Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machine performance or product quality.

Maintain detailed records of production and quality metrics.

Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine manufacturing processes.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC technology and machining techniques.

Documentation and Reporting:Prepare and maintain documentation for CNC programs, machine setups, and production runs.

Generate reports on production performance, including output, quality, and downtime.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Education:High school diploma or GED required.

Associate’s degree in CNC programming, machining, or a related field preferred.

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining, with a focus on Swiss-style lathes.

Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace and defense.

Proficiency in CNC programming software and CAD/CAM systems. Preferably Part Maker.

Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and leadership abilities.
