Job Summary
This position provides in depth support of the Networks, IP and Ethernet Networks.The Data Provisioning Engineer II will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within one of the functional areas of the organization, identified in the Skill Discipline Matrix provided below.
Duties & Responsibilities

Configure, and Deploy Ciena 39 series, Ciena 51 series, and other associated peripheral equipment for customer networks and Access Rings
·
Provision, test, and troubleshoot Eline/Elan services with minimal assistance from Data Engineer III position.
·
Create Scripts, Assign IPV4/IPV6 Address Space for all new Customer Installations
·
Remotely assist with field installation and communication deployments as necessary
·
Assist with Network Enhancement Projects with PMO teams to improve network reliability and to ensure Data Provisioning/ Operations support new products
·
Have thorough understanding and can configure Virtual Private LAN Services and Ether Private Line and Ethernet Virtual Private Line.
·
Have thorough understanding of the Provisioning and Troubleshooting of S-tags associated with Point to Point(ELINE), E-LAN(multipoint to multipoint), and E-Tree(Point ot Multipoint)Networks .
·
Identify, diagnose, and resolve problems affecting network performance
·
Provide technical and analytical support in determining the root cause of network problems and implement action plans to resolve potential or active Network impacting issues
·
Provide Technical Support to Data Provisioning Engineer I positions and have an understanding of the Segra Network.
·
Work trouble tickets to find solutions in order to correct customer trouble issues and faults
·
Assist Change Management team as required to determine customers impacted and effect during network maintenance and grooming
·
Create MOPs/Schedule Maintenance Windows in support of customer services
·
Have 4-6 years experience of the Network and the Provisioning Tools required to provision customer service orders throughout the network.

Assign IPV4/IPV6 Address Space
·
Create Scripts for Ethernet NID and lateral deployments.
·
Have 4-6 years experience of Ring Technologies/deployment of sites within a Ring Scenario.

Configure MPLS router connections for customer turn-ups
·
Configure and provision routers, switches, and other associated peripheral equipment for customer networks
·
Provision and map circuits through various Ciena/Alactel-Lucent networks
·
Perform remote turn-up of services with operations, vendors and customers
·
Performing installs, verifying successful turn-ups
·
Provide assistance and support to other team member as required during critical outages.
·
Assist with development/teaching of curriculum to Segra employees to maintain highest level of technical knowledge on team
·
Perform any other duties assigned by Service Delivery Management
