SUMMARY:The Audiovisual Technician supports operations of our client's Broadcast Operations Center at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) located in Washington, DC. The Broadcast Operations Center delivers news, information, training, and employee development programs to all HUD employees nationwide.The Broadcast Operations Center provides services Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Team members work shifts to cover the required work hours as assigned by the Program Manager.Compensation Range:

www.twd.com/careers/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will:Operate multi-media equipment.Ensure flawless execution of in-person and remote events through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment to include cameras, microphones, lighting, and audio.Skilled operation of digital audio board.Perform event staging tasks for planned and unplanned events, assess requirements and coordinate with team members throughout planning and execution.Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and ability to set up, test and monitor Teams-based events with a large number of participants.Monitor AV equipment and perform troubleshooting and reporting of issues.Coordinate closely with producers and other team members to manage and fulfill requirements, staffing, equipment, and logistics.Assist clients directly with in-meeting support to include equipment and the placing of lapel microphones.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements

Required:Associate degree or equivalent experience.Minimum three (3) years of experience in audiovisual event set up, staging, and systems troubleshooting.Experience with live event AV equipment such as digital audio boards, mixers, switchers, microphones, cameras, speakers, lighting, displays, and more.Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and other video conferencing solutions.Proactive approach to preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills.Detail-oriented, well organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.Able to plan and execute tasks independently and as a team member.Professional demeanor, positive attitude, patience, flexibility, and a customer-service attitude.LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to communicate effectively with both employees and managers. Ability to convey a professional and positive image to customers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematics.REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to be responsive and persuasive to all levels of the organization. Good analytical and reasoning abilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
