Summary

Coordinate and oversee all areas related to foster care programs.

Primary Performance Objectives

Provide supervision and oversight of the foster care program.

Provide supervision to the local directors of the Foster Care program.

Facilitate and coordinate best practices that maintain the highest level of safety, security, and quality care for all clients in the Foster Care program.

Job Task Summary

Coordinate the Foster Care programs according to applicable performance standards and requirements as set forth by applicable governing regulations, Epworth policy and procedure, the TFTC practice model, and national accreditation standards.

Generate data regarding referrals, outcomes, and incidents.

Effectively manage and continuously develop the program.

Assist the Chief Operating Officer in program planning and long-range goals.

Represent Epworth in the community; maintain good working relationships with other social agencies, services, and resources within the community.

Assist in training and credentialing of staff in order to comply with treatment needs, internal policy, fiscal and regulatory requirements.

Review critical incidents for the foster care program.

Work with Directors to market, grow, and expand the Foster Care program across the state.

Attend foster parent events.

Oversee the implementation of the evidence-based practice model.

Maintain program licensure as a child placing agency.

Provide input to the CFO and COO concerning the development of budget and ensure adherence to budgeting guidelines for the Foster Care program.

Interview, hire, and train employee applicants.

Responsible for outcomes reporting for DSS and accreditation to include but not limited to Critical Incident Reporting, Visitation Tracking, and program towards DSS performance goals.

Oversight of billing for the foster care programs.

Make changes as needed to foster care program as contracts and Medicaid changes occur.

Attend meetings of local state agencies and community groups as a representative of Epworth Children's Home.

Participate as appropriate in the PQI process as assigned.

Provide backup on-call rotation.

The above list is not all-inclusive. The President and Chief Operating Officer may assign other duties and responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises Directors of foster care programs with region that is assigned.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.

Five-year experience working with children in the child welfare system.

Prior experience working with a child placing agency is highly desired.

Must be proficient with various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic communication. Know or have the ability to quickly learn any database system required.

Must become a certified Together Facing the Challenge trainer within 1 year of hire.

Must be able to pass standard background checks, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry.

Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
