Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.In this position you are expected to design, plan, and implement solutions that improve and verify the security posture of Snowflake products. Projects focus on building a platform that makes it easy to deploy and maintain security services, unifying security experience for developers, increasing developer autonomy as it pertains to security, detecting security vulnerabilities, secure-by-default solutions, and leveraging data to drive security outcomes. We hold a special emphasis on building with software engineering best practices (documentation, testing, observability, etc). The ultimate goal is to build a world-class security experience for developers in Snowflake.
WHAT YOU NEED
You have led an application security program before, and have a clear vision for how you would make it betterYou have expert experience with threat modeling, and secure architectureYou have a proven ability to grow and manage a small team and produce resultsYou have empathy for the developer experience; we don't tell them what not to do, we tell them how to do it safelyYou can learn and find bugs in any language, specifically Java, C++, JavaScript, Go, and PythonYou have expert knowledge of security testing tools and techniquesYou are a strong communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally, with a track record of delivering results
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to design and write program/design specifications for self and othersSelf-starting and independent. Able to manage and drive projects to completion based on designed specificationsAble to work across team boundaries, reach consensus amongst disparate viewpoints, and graciously receive feedbackAbility to develop threat models and review design documents from the security perspectiveAbility to lead with data and scalable solutions in everything you doExperience with designing and implementing distributed software systems with robust APIs (gRPC, REST, etc)
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with production service development in GoAbility to write, debug and optimize SQL queriesUnderstanding and properly applying software algorithms and data structuresExperience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-code (terraform, pulumi, etc)Experience with building scalable and concurrent web applications
