Job Description:

The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems. This role requires a strong understanding of desktop operating systems, networking basics, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems Windows, macOS, and applications.Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.Set up and configure new workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.Assist with software installations, updates, and patches.Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.Document support requests, solutions, and processes in the helpdesk system.Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.Provide training and guidance to end-users on the use of hardware and software.Assist with IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.2-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related role.Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and remote desktop tools.Strong understanding of networking concepts TCP/IP, DNS, and or DHCP.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus.
