WittKieffer has partnered with Southwestern University for an Assistant Vice President, Budget and Planning. Founded in 1840 and located in scenic Georgetown, just 30 minutes north of Austin, Southwestern University was the first institution of higher education in Texas. Today, it is a nationally ranked private university that is home to 1,500 students and 110 faculty from across the United States and 19 other countries.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Administration, the Assistant Vice President of Budget and Planning will be responsible for providing effective leadership and direction over all policies, practices, and procedures related to the development and management of the University’s multiyear financial plan, annual operating and capital budgets, and all financial analyses. The Assistant Vice President is a strategic partner with various campus leaders, including the President’s Senior Staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree in related field and/or CPA preferred.

Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible financial management experience in higher education; more than ten years preferred.

Higher education experience.
