Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.Applications Engineers at Texas Instruments (TI) are a highly-motivated, synergistic group with great team spirit and a strong commitment to the customer. In this role, you will promote TI products and provide technical solutions to customers that will ultimately go into consumer products like smartphones, PC peripherals, personal medical devices, electric cars, e-bikes and much more. You'll also provide technical support and engage with customers to help define new products and opportunities for future product development.Our applications engineers engage with customers virtually and in person to help solve their toughest technical challenges. Understand customer's needs, develop end equipment expertise, help define our products and be part of what's next! You will work on an applications team in one of TI's product lines to gain a deep understanding of specific products within the business unit - how to position them, typical problems/barriers, how to test/debug and how to solve customer problems at a system level. These experiences are hands-on, technical problem-solving focused with the goal of helping you to create compelling solutions and win business for TI.As an Applications Engineer, you will also get exposure to other roles such as Product Marketing, Systems & Digital Marketing through formal learning, projects and on-the-job development experiences that will help you broaden your knowledge and accelerate your growth and success at TI.Put your talent to work with us as an Applications Engineer - change the world, love your job!Minimum requirements:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer EngineeringCumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higherPreferred qualifications:Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital componentsKnowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended)Experience with lab equipment, like oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skillsAbility to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externallyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to quickly ramp on new systems and processesDemonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryWhy TI?Engineer your future. The expected compensation range for this role is $90,000 – $144,300.
