RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Health Information Associate to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Health Information Associate, you will work to ensure all record requests from patients, referring physicians, attorneys, internal departments, etc. are fulfilled in an appropriate manner and all patient records are accurately maintained.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week; shifts are Monday through Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm with rotating Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures that all incoming and outgoing medical report requests are processed on a daily basisAnswers telephone requests for patient files from referring physician offices and patientsPrepares the daily duplicates and reports for delivery by the various courier servicesFiles and organizes the courier lists of outgoing films and reportsShips all other items leaving clinic using preferred shipper as neededFinds and retrieves outside films for doctors, technologists, and researchCommunicates with attorney and insurance companies regarding patientsCommunicates with patients to ensure they receive the records they have requestedFollows all HIPAA guidelines for release of information

Required:
High school diploma or equivalentWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeData entry experienceProficient with using computer systems and typing
Preferred:
Previous medical records experienceBilingual
