Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) JLVC Capability Manager for their Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Solutions Group (LSG). This person supports operational testing, development, and integration of Navy and Marine Corps LVC training systems to ensure they are compatible, interoperable, and meet the Fleet's training needs. This position is located at I MEF Battle Simulation Center (BSC), Camp Pendleton, CA. Additionally, this position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements. Provide subject matter expertise on the capabilities of Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) federate simulations and tools in JLVC catalog to meet specified training objectives. Provide training to BSC staff and end users to facilitate effective employment of JLVC federate simulations and tools. Conduct continuing education activity to ensure awareness of emerging JLVC capabilities. Initialize and employ instances of JLVC federate simulations to meet training objectives. Manage the local simulation artifacts for each of the JLVC federates. Support the continuous refinement of enterprise documentation regarding JLVC federates’ capabilities. Support the Federation Manager in federating instances of JLVC simulations and tools. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline plus 6 to 8 years of related experience is required. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 8 years applicable work experience. Must be familiar with Linux (command line) and Windows operating systems. Must have technical leadership ability. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be familiar with MS Office. A current CompTIA Security + certification is required for the position. Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance. Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols such as High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS). Familiarity with networking concepts, architectures, and protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP. Experience with MS Visio software to produce technical architecture drawings. Knowledge of Navy C4I tactical systems such as Link 16 and GCCS. Experience working with Navy systems and/or commands. Physical Requirements
