Project EngineerProject Engineer – Your Job Duties

You will work directly with clients, engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors to:Collect information for bidding and ongoing projects.Create, send, and manage subcontractor and material supplier requests.Interpret project plans and specifications.Prepare submittals and RFIs.Attend daily scheduling calls and team planning meetings.

You will support project estimating by:Attending pre-bid meetings.Determining the project scope of work/conducting construction takeoff.Preparing estimates and bid packages using MS Excel, from preparing quantity takeoff through labor and material pricing and equipment cost submittal package.Following up on submitted estimates for status.

A successful Project Engineer is 100% reliable, showcases excellent critical thinking skills, and works as a true teammate with the rest of the team. You will support 1 to 10 projects at a time, working in the office and the field.

Project Engineer – You Have:A passion for working on a small team where you can wear many hats and pitch in where needed; you aren’t title and ego-driven.Ability to read construction drawings and plans, take measurements, and compare construction drawings to specs.Prior experience in the construction industry in structural concrete, construction, or demolition.Excel skills – you will be utilizing MS Excel to track information and perform basic spreadsheets.A clean driving record/reliable transportation to drive to job sites or the ability to drive a company vehicle.Ability to travel within a 3-hour radius of Sacramento. (May include some overnight travel with plenty of advance notice.)

Project Engineer – You Might Have:Prior experience working with BlueBeam software/reviewing construction plans in BlueBeam.Prior experience working with Procore to perform submittals and RFIs.Knowledge of Concrete & Shotcrete.Knowledge and prior experience with public works projects.

Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000, salaried plus incentive bonus potential.You will be provided with paid time off and paid holidays, employer-provided office equipment including a laptop, iPad, and a company cell phone or cell phone stipend. May include a company vehicle depending on your role.

This role requires a clean driving record and successful completion of a background check and drug test prior to start.
