Occupational Health Nurse

This position is Per Diem and will be assigned to Kent HospitalJob Summary:The Occupational Health Nurse provides nursing care/health education and guidance to hospital employees through a comprehensive employee health program.Provides first aid/initial assessment for employees who become ill or are injured at work, maintains appropriate records and reporting of work-related illnesses/injuries, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and programs.Assists Nurse Practitioner with physicals, tests, and hospital-wide immunizations/inoculations. Assists in designing and implementing health in-service programs, and develops protocols to monitor employee health and prevent employee work-related accidents and illness.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.Current licensure as a professional nurse in the State of Rhode Island required.Minimum of one to three years of clinical experience in a hospital environment.Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills and proficiency in personal computer data management.
