Academic Kidney Transplant Surgeon

The University of Missouri Department of Surgery is seeking a transplant surgeon to lead and grow the central Missouri Region’s only Kidney Transplant program, serving a primarily rural patient population.Teaching responsibilities include general and urologic surgery residents and medical students. Multiple clinical, translational, and basic science research opportunities through the MU Surgical Center for Outcomes Research & Effectiveness (MUSCORE) and the Nextgen Precision Health Center are well resourced and available for growth. In addition to transplant responsibilities, surgeons will be expected to support the overall mission of the Department of Surgery.

Minimum Qualifications:MD, MD/PHD, DOGeneral or Urologic Surgery ResidencyASTS accredited transplant fellowship programUNOS-certified or eligible as a Primary Surgeon.Eligible to obtain a state medical licenseCandidates will be evaluated on:Non-transplant hepatobiliary surgery is highly desired.Our Community:Columbia
