Riverside, California, United StatesHourly Pay: $18.50/hr.Shift(s):1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pmSummaryThe Pallet Repair Technician takes damaged pallets sent from our customers and returns them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. Must achieve expected production requirements while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.Must be comfortable operating tools used to complete repairs, including but not limited to:Manual & electric sawsHammerResponsibilities and ExpectationsMust be accountable for achieving Relogistics results while maintaining Relogistics Core Values and Safety StandardsAbility to complete all production paperwork with accuracyUtilizes appropriate tools and methods to return damaged pallets to service-ready conditionCommunicates directly with Shift Lead or On Site / Plant ManagerExamining products after repairing to verify conformance to quality standardsAbility to maintain Relogistics efficiency and performance standards of productionMust maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets Relogistics standardsRepair the given number of pallets, once training is completeExpected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely.If required to also load palletsHand stacking pallets to appropriate heightsLoading and unloading materials from trailers by handMoving pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads to make sure they are secureAbility to utilize yard management systems to coordinate trailers movesEducation and/or ExperienceDemonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, and manual woodworking toolsHigh school degree or GED requiredAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardized requirements existAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formExcellent oral and written communication skills needed.Physical DemandsRepetitively lift up to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in timeHaving a good sense of balanceHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationConstant standing, bending, and twistingAbility to work overtime when neededThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
