Sr Oracle/DB2 DBA

Description:Will join a team and be responsible for all duties related to Oracle database administration and troubleshooting - mostly monitoring, performance tuning and materialized views along with some possible upgrade and migration work (Postgres and AWS).Please note this role provides 2nd level support on a rotational basis along with development activities.Required qualifications include:Deep knowledge in installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise Database Technology environments such as Oracle and PostgreSQL in an on premise and AWS Cloud infrastructureExtensive knowledge installing, upgrading and performing Disaster Recovery efforts with Oracle DB'sSQL Tuning and Database Performance Evaluation and ConfigurationSystems engineering experience, including AIX / Linux performance, memory management, I/O & Performance tuning, security, clusters and troubleshooting.Experience working directly with customers, resolving database, systems and infrastructure-related issues and also providing systems architecture leadershipWorking knowledge of relational database internals (locking, consistency, serialization, disaster recovery)Coding skills in at least one scripting language a must (TCL, Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.)Minimum 5 years of experience engineering, administering and managing multiple relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc)Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologyExperience in shell and python scripting with focus on DevOps tools, CI/CDSignificant exposure in various OS administration tasksAnalytical Problem SolvingEffective Written CommunicationsEffective Verbal CommunicationsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 5+ yearsOther Information:Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
