POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Accounts Payable Associate. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely resolution of payment issues. This position will support all of NYULH and its related business units. Fostering a relationship with customers both internally and externally will be crucial to the candidate's success. Additional responsibilities include vendor statement reconciliation and handling of special projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze invoice-related issues pertaining to match exceptions/disputes and liaise with Vendors, Requesters, and Supply Chain to rectify.

Analyze AP exception data to identify root causes and provide actionable recommendations on how to prevent/correct the issue going forward.

Respond to internal and external inquiries in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.

Reconcile vendor statements monthly.

Process emergency payments when necessary.

Assist in the resolution of Credit Holds.

Special Ad Hoc projects and additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree with a major in a finance-related subject (i.e., Accounting, Finance, Economics) and 1 - 2 years of related work experience. Experience within a not-for-profit healthcare institution and Accounts Payable P2P experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel are required. Oracle PeopleSoft and/or other ERP system experience is strongly preferred.
