A leading company in the entertainment industry is seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Senior Accountant in their Maryland office.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of journal entries in conformity with US GAAP and Company policyPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze P&L accountsPreparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting schedules and roll forwardsCoordinate with the Cash team to ensure all receipts are recorded within the monthCompile requested data for internal and external auditorsResearch accounting issues as requestedPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accountingMinimum 2-3 years accounting experience working in a large to medium sized public companyStrong accounting and analytical abilitiesEffective project and time management skillsAbility to work well and excel under tight deadlines and periods of high volumeAbility to establish effective relationships with business partners and across the Accounting and Finance organizationStrong analytical skills with a desire and curiosity to understand and own a processStrong Excel skills and possess a knowledge of automated environments.Ability to multitask and follow through a task to completionDesired Skills:CPA candidateMedia or Digital Industry experience
