Dematic is currently seeking a Simulation Associate to join their team immediately. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in simulation methodologies, programming, or data analytics. A comprehensive understanding of automated system operations is also strongly desired.What we offer:Career DevelopmentCompetitive Compensation and BenefitsPay TransparencyGlobal OpportunitiesThe base pay for this role is $65,000 - $85,000, and the final decision is determined by factors such as skills, experience, and location.This is What You Will do in This Role:Assisting in the development of discrete event simulation models to analyze the performance of material handling systems.Supporting pre-sale efforts through the execution of throughput & sizing analysis of individual areas within a facility.Setting up and administering simulation scenarios and experiment statistical runs.Supporting the execution of statistical analysis, interpreting results, and presenting to the project team.Assisting in developing customer presentations.Completing designated tasks on time and budget.Clearly communicating complex principles, ideas, and concepts.Using sound business judgment and discretion when handling customers' information.Assisting in improving overall project team processes, documentation, and methodology of simulation deliverables.What We are Looking For:BS in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience with or training in a discrete event simulation package (such as Emulate3D, FlexSim, or Plant Simulation) preferred.Minimum 1-3 years of experience and knowledge in simulation model development and process.Demonstrate competency with discrete event simulation concepts, best practices, and methodologies.Ability to apply statistical methods and quantitative analysis to simulation problems.Experience with material handling systems preferred.Eagerness and willingness to develop new skills required for continuous growth of own talent, skills, and capabilities.Competence in structured programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, or Java preferred.Competence in AutoCAD and 3D Design preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
