Moreover, the Post Doctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Conducts research on specific areas of study as assigned. Prepares research reports and technical papers for publishing. Investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories. Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories. Develops advanced analytical models and systems and provides solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions. Department Specific Functions:Participates in data collection, data analysis, and data management for Dean Santos’ primary grants. Participates in dissemination activities including but not limited to manuscript development for Dean Santos’ Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) grant. ECHO analysis concept development and conference presentations. Provides writing support to the ECHO PIs and co-investigators. Assures compliance with local and single IRBs and adheres to study protocols. Assists in grant development for ongoing and new research activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.Department Specific Qualifications:Education:A PhD in nursing, public health, developmental science, behavioral sciences, or a related field is required. Fellowships are open to US citizens and those located in the US with appropriate work clearance. This fellowship is an in-person position with the potential to work remotely when appropriate. Residence in Miami, Florida is required.Application Instructions:

None requiredExperience:Experience in data collection preferred.Ample experience in data analysis required (e.g. proficiency in R, SAS, or SPSS).Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:Ability to analyze a data set.Ability to create and conduct data analysis plans and interaction models.Skilled in writing results sections and presenting findings.Ability to work independently.Strong organizational skills.Strong communications skills.
