Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center is recruiting for a Director of Nursing (DNS) who is able to meet and exceed the following job description expectations:
Responsibilities:
Supervising all nursing staff
Overseeing department budgets
Maintaining high standards of care for all patients
Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records
Communicating with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health
Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff
Providing ongoing education classes
Conducting employee evaluations
Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
Managing and implementing compliance with Federal and State regulations
Completing plans of corrections and coordinating audits, education, and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement plans
Must have the ability to manage a diverse team of staff and work effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements:
The right candidate must be a registered nurse licensed in the state of Connecticut.
Must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of continuous clinical experience in a Nursing home.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Director of Nursing in a nursing home.
An Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with more than 2 years of Nursing Home experience is welcome to apply.
Must be familiar with the Department of Public Health Survey process and ensuring ongoing compliance with CMS regulations.
