Position Summary:The Director of Wellness in Americare Senior Living, Assisted Living Division, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the overall well-being and the quality of life for our residents. This leadership position leads the development and implementation of comprehensive wellness programs with a focus on holistic health and a grounding in the ICAA Seven Dimensions of Wellness. The Director of Wellness will enhance current and implement new enterprise-wide wellness programs that drive resident satisfaction while ensuring clinical excellence. This role leads a team of dedicated Regional Nurse Consultants.

Essential Functions:

Leadership:

Functional: Develop and execute a strategic vision of wellness, aligning with the company’s mission and values. Lead the Assisted Living Division to deliver exceptional services that enhance the overall quality of life for residents.

People: Model Americare RISING core values and integrate the Home Town Hospitality model into the resident experience. Actively invest in developing team to grow talent and business results.

Program Development:

Design and implement holistic wellness programs tailored to the unique needs and preferences of the senior population built on the foundation of the ICAA Seven Dimensions of Wellness.

Program Management:

Establish and track program milestones and objectives, communicate progress, and proactively identify issues/barriers.

Problem Solving:

Proactively identify and solve complex wellness problems that impact efficacy, our ability to execute, management, and direction of the business.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to senior care in the five states Americare Senior Living operates. Ensure all wellness programs and services comply with the relevant regulations and guidelines.

Communication:

Establish effective communication channels for residents, their families, and other departments within the organization.

Change Management:

Carefully assess organization’s readiness for change and design change management and communication plans to drive successful program execution.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in senior wellness and healthcare. Continuously evaluate and enhance programs to meet the evolving needs and expectations of residents.

Collaboration:

Lead teams (community and regional) to create personalized care experiences for residents, ensuring their physical and mental needs are met. Partner with risk management leadership to regularly assess and adjust policies and procedures.

Collaborate with other leaders to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care and overall community operations.

Travel:

Up to 50% required.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field is preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Proven leadership experience in a senior living or healthcare setting.

Knowledge of geriatric care, wellness programs, and regulatory requirements.

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Passion for promoting the well-being and quality of life for seniors.
