In return, we will support you in the moments that matter.About the roleThe Team Leader is responsible for managing and leading a small team of planning, accounting, and other professionals in preparing and reviewing development contribution plans and strategies and providing contributions advice. Another important part of the role is overseeing voluntary planning agreement milestones.You will be responsible for advising Council project teams on contributions funding, leading efforts across the organisation in the planning and reporting of development contributions and planning agreements, training planners in contributions levying, forecasting, and auditing contributions income, providing high-level advice to the Group Manager and Executive Director, and keeping up to date with industry policy, news, and best practice.About youYou are degree qualified in town planning, accounting, project management, or equivalent, with considerable experience in the management of development contributions within statutory and/or strategic land use planning in a local government context.You have proven experience in the following:Detailed understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to contributions planning and the ability to practically apply this knowledge.Detailed understanding of planning agreement implementation and milestone achievement.Leading a diverse team and delivering services to a high standard to meet numeric, qualitative, and other business performance criteria.Detailed understanding of the day-to-day administration of contribution plans and use of relevant IT packages.Ability to successfully lead a team, communicate, negotiate, build relationships, and influence others with an engaging approach and technique.Advanced problem-solving and decision-making ability, including confidence in working with leaders and project teams to resolve high-priority, often sensitive, and complex issues.We are offering an attractive salary package from $137,435 to $151,322 plus 11% superannuation.You can be confident in joining a workplace that offers outstanding benefits, including:A range of flexible work arrangements including hybrid WFH arrangements.14 weeks paid parental leave.Central Parramatta location (Public transport at our door, discounted parking).Significant leave benefits (up to 12 days flexi-time, 3 additional leave days at Christmas).Learning and development opportunities.Health and Wellbeing programs (Fitness Passport, Flu Shots, etc.).Please apply online, submitting a resume and cover letter of no more than two pages, which addresses your qualifications and proven experience in the ‘About You’ section above.Applications close 9pm,
