Yours included.We are looking for a talented, motivated Clinical Research Assistant who is eager to learn and work in a quickly adaptive environment to join Dr. Scott Snapper's Lab in the IBD Center at Boston Children's Hospital. You will be working with a team of clinical research coordinators in a collaborative, pre-professional environment and will be involved in an exciting area of research that is focused on better understanding the genetic, environmental, and microbial factors that lead to the pathogenesis of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. To advance our understanding of this complex disease, we leverage expertise in gastroenterology, mucosal immunology, genomics/bioinformatics, and translational medicine.This Clinical Research Assistant I will be responsible for:Coordinating various clinical and translational research studies.Recruiting and enrolling study participants in an inpatient and outpatient clinical setting.Collecting and processing biological specimens.Completing data entry for active studies.Assisting with the analysis of clinical metadata compiled through various databases.Performing a variety of innovative translational and clinical research studies.Depending on need and interest, involvement in studies related to analysis of human sequence data, as well as translational research techniques.In order to qualify you must have:A Bachelor's degree in a scientific or health related field with 0-2 years of clinical and/or lab experience.The analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Enjoy working in a collaborative setting with existing team members.
