SHIFT: 11 pm to 7 am
Alaris Health at Cedar Grove, located in Cedar Grove, NJ, seeks a registered nurse (RN) for their 60-bed locked behavioral unit to help oversee nursing personnel, tend to the unit’s daily operations and fulfill other responsibilities as listed below (but not limited to). Rate: $40/hr + benefits (negotiable)
Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate with everyone from residents to government personnel and the general public.
Provide the highest quality of care possible to each of our residents, paying meticulous attention to care plans, courses of action, residents’ records and documents.
Maintain composure in emergency situations and comply with all Center guidelines and regulations.
Ensure that each resident’s attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in his/her health condition.
Ensure that each resident receives the highest quality of service, compassion, and care.
Job Requirements:
Full command of the English language, including understanding technical concepts.
Current registered nurse license from an approved New Jersey school of nursing (recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing and experience in supervisory capacity is preferred).
Current physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of state nursing principles.
Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and practices.
Ability to handle/manipulate instruments and equipment and supervise nursing functions.
Possess an empathetic attitude towards residents and be able to gain their confidence.
Ability to recognize and identify symptoms and make decisions quickly in emergencies.
