Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a GPU Command Processor FW Engineer, you will work as part of the GPU RTL CP team as an individual contributor. You primary responsibility will include, but not be limited to, GPU cluster control specification and Firmware implementation for industry-leading GPU hardware IP.You work with the Arch/SW teams to develop GPU Command Processor to meet feature functionality and PPA metrics.You collaborate with Arch/SW/PPA team to identify and solve performance bottlenecks, power/area inefficiency issues.You analyze and influence future GPU architectures with RISC-V micro-processor.You’re involved in delivering best in class GPU IP for mobile, laptop and automotive applications.Skills and Qualifications10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related, or 8+ years of experience with a Master’s Degree, or 6+ years of experience with a PhDProfessional working experience on FW design, RISC-V is highly preferredMust have hands-on experience with Assembly/C/C++ programming languagesExperience on computer architecture, RTL design, VerilogStrong problem solving, root causing and debugging skillsKnowledge/experience on RISC-V is highly preferredKnowledge/experience on GPU pipeline and GPU architecture is preferredOur TeamWe’re growing a team of talented individuals with diverse skill sets to build a technology roadmap and deliver market-leading GPU. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,345 and $257,336. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more.
