The Help Desk Support Service Specialist in the Department of Defense (DoD) is an important position that involves supporting technical end user problems related to desktops, workstations, and LAN equipment. This position calls for a technical person who is also a people’s person to attend to the needs of the users in the best way possible. The Specialist has a significant responsibility to ensure that DoD’s IT enablers continue to operate as designed and securely, especially within those settings where rapid incident response is necessary for the mission.Responsibilities:Provide expert-level telephonic assistance to users, resolving complex technical problems related to desktop, workstation, and LAN equipment.The Senior Specialist ensures that issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly, minimizing disruptions to DoD operations.Required Qualifications:Secret Clearance is mandatory.7 years
of experience as a Help Desk technician, with a strong focus on telephonic support and problem resolution.3 years
of experience in assembling, configuring, testing, and installing IT equipment, particularly desktop, workstation, and LAN systems, with mandatory experience in compatible desktop/laptop systems and Windows applications.IA Technician II (IAT-II)
