Some benefits may vary depending on position and employment statusMinimum Eligibility Requirements:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN or LVN) with a strong senior living backgroundCurrent and active state license in good standingPrevious supervisory or management experience in a related healthcare settingAbility to build effective relationships with residents, family members, and staffStrong documentation skillsProficient in developing systems for monitoring resident health conditions and ensuring efficient and safe delivery of careExcellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to accommodate fluctuating resident and facility needsProfessional representation of the facility and a positive demeanorExperience in training and staff developmentEssential Functions:Collaborate with the Administrator in hiring, supervising, evaluating, and providing progressive discipline for all care staffDevelop and monitor work schedules for Caregivers and Nursing staff to ensure optimal staffing levels for quality resident careServe as a member of the facility management team and act as Administrator in their absenceAssist with marketing responsibilities and build networks with healthcare community referral sourcesProvide training to staff on health-related topics and maintain training recordsAct as a role model for professional appearance, communication, and conductOversee the resident assessment process and ensure accurate and updated service plansCoordinate resident and family care conferencesServe as a liaison between residents, families, and physicians regarding healthcare issuesMonitor and evaluate changes in resident condition, implement effective interventions, and document accordinglyPerform skilled nursing tasks as per policy and state lawEnsure safe and accurate medication management, maintaining proper documentation and storageImplement systems to monitor resident health concerns, such as weight and nutrition, skin integrity, mobility, fall management, and challenging behaviorsMaintain an adequate inventory of healthcare supplies and equipment, following facility protocols for purchasingMonitor the Alert Charting system and review Resident Health Records for compliance and quality standardsDemonstrate courtesy, gentleness, and effective communication techniques when interacting with residentsProvide resident care in a safe and dignified manner, always upholding resident dignity, choice, and respectStay updated on current OSHA and state regulations and ensure facility compliance with resident care and nursing functions
