We offer a supportive team environment with hands-on training from our surgeons, residents, and fellow APP's. The provider in this role will be first assisting in Ortho surgery cases as well as work in post-op care in the inpatient setting.Job Summary
First assist in orthopedic surgery - including hip and knee replacement, shoulder and elbow, spine, and foot and anklePerioperative patient care:Ordering and interpreting labsAdmission history and physicalsInpatient rounding and discharge completionsThis is a full-time position and will consist of 4 shifts per week. No weekends, holidays, or nights.Below is the schedule:Monday: 900am-730pmTuesday: 700am-530pmWednesday: 700am-530pmThursday: 700am-530pmNP's will be required to have completed the RN first assist course to be considered. You must be an ACNP or PA to be considered for the role.
We cannot accept FNPs.This position is not open to new grads.Join our developing team with great room for growth, and a collaborative atmosphere.Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.ExperienceLicense/Certification/RegistrationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.As a MedStar Medical Group clinician, you can expect:
