Salary: $6,667 - $7,167 per month

Other Compensation: Taxable benefits include tickets to UW Intercollegiate home competitions. Non-local candidates may be eligible for a moving allowance.

The Intercollegiate Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Athletics Contracts Specialist/Buyer to join their team. This position will report to the Senior Associate Athletic Director/CFO and will identify contracting opportunities, conduct solicitations, and execute and manage contracts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute Contracts – (25%)

Conduct solicitations, review and approve purchase orders, and negotiate contracts in the best interest of the department.

Contract Management – (25%)

Creates contract management plans and serves as liaison with the customer and supplier.

Procurement Services – (25%)

Establishes and updates policies and procedures for key procurement functions.

Vendor Management – (10%)

Develops an interactive relationship and communicates with key suppliers.

Strategic Planning – (5%)

Assists CFO with developing short and long-term plans in support of department’s purchasing needs.

Risk Management – (5%)

Collaborates with Department IT and local stakeholders on assessing departmental risks.

Other Duties – (5%)

Develops, organizes, and conducts training programs related to this position’s area of expertise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor's degree in business or a related field and three years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing, contracting negotiation and management, or related field.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated experience managing multiple procurement projects and excellent oral and written communication skills.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Work is performed in an office setting within a hybrid workplace model.
