As Strike’s Senior Research & Development (R&D) Tax Associate, you will be responsible for researching tax issues, conducting fieldwork, and supporting sales & marketing efforts. Specifically, you will operate as an authority on the US Research & Development Tax Credit and gain exposure to other credit incentives as Strike expands into other services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting services, including leading client interviews and discussions, performing technical tax research, computations, analysis, data aggregation, and business development with industry expertise.Generate and sustain client relationships by becoming a functional expert in their business area, as it specifically relates to the R&D tax credit.Interface with client personnel, including executives, operations, finance, accounting, and engineering.Assist in managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating resources as needed.Why Join Strike:You will be working with some of the most innovative companies in today’s world. If you are seeking to build a rewarding, long-term career that challenges you to grow on a daily basis, then Strike is the place for you!Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or tax, or other technical field.3 - 5 years of real-world experience and practical knowledge in fixed income financial products, income tax principles, and/or project management.Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Access.Prior experience in preparing R&D and/or payroll claims.Strong initiative and drive to lead while seeking opportunities to enhance and grow the R&D practice.Comprehensive technical skills and the ability to work on project plans, manage workflows, and comprehend complex written and verbal materials.Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed.Preferred Skills and Experience:CPA, Enrolled Agent, or other appropriate certification (either in process or able/willing to obtain).Masters in Accounting/Tax/Finance.Experience working for a large national accounting firm in a specialized practice area.Proven ability to prioritize and drive progress on multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
