Adheres to the service values and principals as well as the principals of research ethics. The balance between patient-facing and administrative data tasks varies according to the specific requirements of each research program.Essential Job Functions:Contacts eligible individuals to recruit for the study.Enters medical information/data onto protocol specific case report forms, study flow sheets, and other required study forms.Connects with eligible individuals and their families, explains the study in detail to them, answers their questions, and develops rapport with them.Obtains informed consent and documents the consent process.Creates enrollment reports and presents to Principal Investigator and Project Manager.Schedules and coordinates clinical research study visits with participants and research staff.Ensures visit rooms, lab kits, requisitions, and anything else needed is prepared prior to visit.Completes research study visit procedures including, specimen collection, specimen processing, blood pressure and heart rate, measurements of adiposity, anthropometrics, and survey administration per detailed study protocols.Adheres to laboratory safety protocols.Adheres to research protocol in compliance with applicable institutional, local, and federal regulations (OHRP, FDA, GCP, etc.).Records data on source documents and CRF's and/or electronic web based systems.Coordinates reimbursement of subjects.Attends weekly meetings with Principal Investigator and research team members.Attends bi-weekly meeting with members from other field centers.Maintains inventory of supplies/equipment.Monitors and assesses adverse events and reports them as required.Functions as patient liaison for study questions, billing issues, etc.Maintains all study documents (regulatory binders, source documents, correspondence, etc.).Promotes the ethical conduct of research by actively participating in research related educational meetings and conferences.Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients.Performs quality control checks for database validity and data monitoring.Other Duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree and one year research experience required.A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is directly related to the duties of the job.Proficient organizational skills with ability to manage multiple studies.Proficient verbal and written communications skills.Proficient knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.Proficient analytical skills with the ability to recognize quantitative and qualitative research methods and remain agile and adaptable to various technological systems.Proficient entry level leadership skills.Recognizes the need to prioritize tasks, problem solve, and work with others.
