Non-local candidates must be willing to pay for your own interview travel expenses and relocation costs.Job DescriptionLocation: Englewood, CODuration: 6 MonthsRate: $45/hrResponsibilities:Prior lead experience, great communication, SOA, OO skills, SOAP web services, Maven, Message Broker (JMS or MQ), JBOSS or Websphere or Weblogic, RDBMS, and heavy design experience.Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.7-10 years of experience in software development and design.Must have prior lead experience, even on a small team of 2-3 developers.Great communication skills required, will be communicating with stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to make strong judgments and work effectively with all levels of clients, management, and staff.Ability to lead both small and large projects in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple, concurrent development streams.Ability to work within a team.Ability to plan, track, communicate, and manage system requirements through design to implementation.Ability to provide highly detailed documentation of projects implemented.Support and provide input as part of the project team during the design, development, and deployment phases of the project.Very good written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.Will have a QA and Performance Testing team to assist.Technical Skills/Expertise:Experience applying Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to real-world solutions.Very strong OO skills.Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP and REST), WS-* standards, XML, JSON.Excellent knowledge of Java language.Experience with the Mule ESB is a plus.Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle methodology.Experience with Continuum, Maven.Experience with Linux and scripting.Strong experience with IBM middleware (Websphere, Message Broker (JMS or MQ), ESB).Experience with caching products like CouchDB and alternate database technologies like Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc. is a plus.Experience designing systems for high-performance: high throughput, high-availability, low latency, etc.Performance tuning/profiling.Experience with any standard container: JBOSS/Websphere/Weblogic.Back-end development required, front-end is a plus.Using DB2, but relational DB experience is all that is needed.Should know dependency injection, annotations, object-relational mapping.Will be doing heavy design work, and articulating the design to developers and stakeholders.Equal Opportunity Employer
