Position Summary

The Vice President of Finance is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role involves directing financial planning, managing financial risks, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The VP of Finance will work closely with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's overall goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Strategy:

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

Monitor financial performance and recommend adjustments to meet financial targets.

Financial Reporting:

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.

Present financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders.

Oversee compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Investment & Risk Management:

Manage the company’s investment portfolio and assess potential investment opportunities.

Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.

Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management and capital structure.

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals and objectives.

Compliance & Controls:

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Oversee internal controls and audit processes to safeguard company assets.

Implement and maintain effective financial policies and procedures.

Strategic Advising:

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Work with the CEO and senior management to evaluate business opportunities, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

Cost Management:

Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.

Monitor and manage operating expenses to align with budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and risk management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
