Security EngineerLocation: Lorton, VACategory: Information AssuranceSchedule (FT/PT): Full TimeTravel Required: NoneDuration: Long-termShift: DayPotential for Telework: NONEClearance: Top SecretRate: 1099 and/or C2C OpportunityConduct STIG and FISMA compliant targeted System Assessments and Authorization (SA&A) and maintain continuous Approval To Operate (ATO) for customer built and maintained classified and unclassified environments.Develop Site Security Plans (SSP) for DHS to grant Authority To Connect (ATC), based on Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidance. Prepare and maintain assessment and authorization packages to obtain approval to install, interim authority to test, authority to connect and any move, add or change of technology (tech refresh) within the environment.Ensure records are maintained for workstations, servers, software, routers, firewalls, network switches, and other relevant hardware/equipment throughout the information system's life cycle. Conduct annual assessments on multiple components on two networks.Serve as liaison between the client, system owner and component's project manager with any information or directives that need to be shared regarding the install of hardware in the component's environment.Conduct scans using Nessus, Tenable and the SCAP tool. Analyze vulnerability scan results for validation and root cause. Perform scan finding analysis, investigation, and validation.Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) targeted assessments and annual reporting. Task, track and mitigate Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) vulnerability scan and security assessment findings requiring mitigation.
