Cloud Security Engineer

to join our team in the Westminster, CO office. This person will join our Platform governance team to automate the management and the security of hundreds of cloud accounts. We enable Maxar to move very quickly by taking the heavy lifting out of cloud account creation and management. We create and deliver tools for the users of cloud accounts to self-service many functions as well as managing tools that enable the users to keep their accounts secure. This candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.What you will do day to day:Design, build, test, and deploy management and security capabilities across our entire cloud footprintWork with the team to refactor existing processes and systems that need improvementWork with many customers to ensure that different requirements are considered while building flexible solutions.Design and implement extensions to our governance frameworks as new cloud providers are on-boardedRegularly look at new cloud features and implement appropriate security controlsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field (may substitute 4 years professional experience)Must have 4+ years' recent experience managing infrastructure in AWSMust have at least 2 years recent Python programming experienceMust have 2 years' recent experience with an infrastructure as code language such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.Must have 2+ years' experience with CI/CD pipeline technologies such as AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Code Build, Jenkins, or GitHubMust have 8+ years experience in software engineering or related fieldsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in an AWS ecosystem with several hundred AWS accountsExperience with AWS IAM, Lambda, ECS, Fargate, API Gateway, and AWS OrganizationsExperience with web UI frameworks such as react.jsExperience with GraphQLExperience with Microsoft Azure and governance in AzureExperience with AWS AppSync and AWS AmplifyExperience with NIST 800-171 or similar frameworksExperience with managing/leveraging CSPM tools such as Wiz or similar.Experience with Vulnerability Management tools such as Wiz or similar.Holding an AWS certificationLife with Us:There is a reason we boast awards like Best Employer, Best Place to work, Top employer, candidate experience winner. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $119,000.00 - $199,000.00 annually. Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
