NetGO has a current opening for an AWS Technical Architect to support a Federal Government client with their digital transformation and modernization programs. In this role, the AWS Technical Architect will work with stakeholders, executive leadership, and IT experts to define innovative, client-focused, technical solutions.Description
Hybrid Position - 3 Days Remote, 2 Days at Contractor Tysons Corner officeResponsibilities:Designing and creating solutions using best-in-class cloud technologies to solve our clients’ challengesTake a central role in the planning and construction of intuitive cloud-based applicationsDefine strategies for migrating On-Prem applications to the cloudLead cloud migration activitiesCoaching and mentoring fellow team membersCoding, debugging, and supporting cloud-based applicationsEnsuring the quality and technical excellence of enterprise-grade solutionsDesigning application architectureTaking ownership of cloud-based applicationsPlanning and executing technical application detailsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or other relevant degree or equivalent industry experience. Industry-recognized certifications and/or publications in the area of expertise are preferred.Minimum eight (8) years experience as an Architect, with at least three (3) years in AWS specifically.At least one (1) AWS CertificationDeep background leading a team working in an Agile methodology to develop softwareDeep experience applying design patterns in Angular 5+/TypeScript, Vue, React, or similarProven ability to design and develop microservices and their supporting structuresExtremely proficient in object-oriented development and design patternsEstablished experience in Node.jsEstablished experience in C#/.NET Core or Java/SpringExperience using build tools like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Bower, or similarEstablished understanding of Test-Driven development, unit testing, and clean codeWorked with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, or similarSuperb written and oral communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent presentation skillsAbility to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a teamPreferred Qualifications:Experience architecting solutions on AWS using Serverless framework(s)Ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsExperience in project technical estimation, component breakdown, and cross-application communicationExperience with developing testing strategies for complex applicationsExperience leading distributed and/or global teams
