The Corporate Audit Services Senior Audit Manager – Credit & Debit Card Products supports the Audit Directors, Senior Audit Directors, and Chief Audit Executive, in providing the Audit Committee and senior management with independent assurance and advisory services designed to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes of U.S. Bancorp (USB), affiliates, wholly owned subsidiaries, and entities where USB owns a majority (controlling) interest.The Senior Audit Manager – Credit & Debit Card Products is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and coordination of the risk-based audit plans for U.S. Bank’s Credit Card (Consumer, Small Business, and Commercial) and Debit Card products with consideration of relevant legal entities and geographies.We are seeking an experienced senior business audit manager that has strong knowledge of audit, risk management, and regulatory expectations at large financial institutions, with specific knowledge and experience with Credit and Debit Card products. This individual will have skills and experiences to effectively manage audit deliverables, own and lead the oversight of the Credit and Debit Card audit plans, provide oversight of audit activities over the activities mentioned above, and deliver updates to operating committees, senior management, and other key stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesCoordinating with others in the department in developing and driving the execution and coordination of the risk-based Annual Audit Plan and understanding how it impacts the portfolio of Credit and Debit Card products. This includes identifying auditable entities and assessing risk; determining appropriate audit cycles and audit strategy; and determining necessary audit resources and estimated expenses associated with completion of a forward looking 12-18 month audit plan. Maintaining an effective Continuous Monitoring Program which monitors key risks within auditable entities across multiple risks, geographies, and entities and identifies any key emerging/evolving risks by routinely interfacing with independent peer banks on regulatory trends. Also includes adjusting the Audit Plan when appropriate and communicating key results of Continuous Monitoring to applicable members across CAS and relevant stakeholders.Lead a team of professionals and is expected to recruit, hire, and develop assigned personnel in accordance with U.S. Bank Human Resources Policies and Corporate Audit Services Policies, Standards and Guidelines. These duties include active participation in recruiting activities; establishing and managing development plans for assigned personnel; and providing ongoing performance feedback and annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel. Also includes addressing performance problems promptly.Supervise team in the completion of audit engagements and projects, ensuring the highest quality work delivered timely and appropriately focusing on key risks and controls and legal entity and geography requirements.Develop and deepen relationships through regular interactions with key internal and external stakeholders that include but are not limited to senior management; internal control partners; regulatory agencies; subsidiary board and committee meetings, external auditors; external subject matter experts; and industry peers. This includes regular participation within industry peer groups.Drive automation and analytics opportunities in engagements.Performing other duties as requested by Senior Audit Director and Audit Director.Senior Audit Manager will exhibit:Business Acumen – Has impressive intellectual and critical thinking skills specifically related to consumer, small business, prepaid, debit, and commercial cards. Inspires commitment from people and mobilizes teams toward high performance and goal achievement.Preferred Skills/ExperienceBachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, International Business).Ten or more years of progressive experience in internal auditing, first line, second line, financial services regulatory, other relevant experience.Eight or more years of Credit and/or Debit Card product focused audit experience and expert understanding of applicable laws, regulations, technology, and regulatory trends that impact these products in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Five or more years of managerial experience.
