Systems Support Technician . This position is located in Brockton, MA.We are looking for motivated IT support technicians striving to address the needs of our clients. Work will include onsite and remote support ranging from troubleshooting virus/spyware issues, backups, networking, printing issues, system builds and configurations. The Systems Support Technician will demonstrate support skills in the areas of operating systems (Windows, Android, and Apple based systems), Microsoft Office, common applications, system and peripheral network connectivity, as well as mobile device support. Compensation is salary and based upon varied experience and certifications. On call, project & performance bonuses are also available.The System Support Technician will be responsible for the following:Resolve tickets escalated to the Tier 2 queue.Work directly with Tier 3/2 Support Technicians to diagnose and resolve client-server application issues while providing excellent customer service during all interactions.Administer and troubleshoot network printers, file share mappings, and NTFS security permissions.Work with application vendors to gather technical requirements, installation guides, and other technical documents in order to install, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot business critical applications on Windows servers.Process and work service requests in a timely fashion to include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow up.Document, track, and monitor problems while driving every issue to ensure a timely resolution.Effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Provide support for end users covering a wide variety of issues.Provide on call support after hours on a rotating basis.The System Support Technician must have the following skills:Minimum 3 years’ experience or 1 year’s experience with a college degree.Experience with Imanage / Datto / Storage Craft.Troubleshooting skills and techniques applied to diagnosing TCP/IP networking issues.Knowledge in addressing DNS and DHCP issues and configurations.Knowledge of setting up VPN, RDP, and other remote technologies for desktops.Experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting business critical client-server applications on Windows Server, Exchange up to 2016, and SQL.Knowledge and experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.Thorough knowledge of desktop applications (Office, Outlook, Antivirus, etc.).Knowledge of setting up handheld smart devices in a network environment.Knowledge of network printing.Ability to independently diagnose and resolve challenging technical issues.Ability to keep up to date with current and future technologies.The System Support Technician must meet the following qualifications:Friendly demeanor with clients and peers.Neat professional appearance.Good communication and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work well both in a team environment and as an independent self-starter.Ability to clearly document work performed in addressing each issue.Thorough and detail-oriented with the ability to follow procedures.
