www.mtsi-va.com .Responsibilities:Duties are to assist the government with planning, executing, and reporting on ballistic missile target launches for lower-tier ballistic missile defense systems. The engineer must have an extensive understanding of all vehicle subsystems, vehicle handling and logistics and demonstrated experience and technical competence in a broad array of defense systems and technologies. On a daily basis the engineer will work aspects of the planning and execution of target launches. This will include development of test execution documentation for the test ranges, monitor development target design, help develop launcher testing and countdown documents. The engineer will interface directly with government program office personnel as well as other government organizations and contractors involved in the targets program. The job will require some travel outside the Huntsville, AL area to include launch operations support.Contractor will support:Support missile system performance analysis and requirements analysis on a major weapon system development program.Develop written and oral reports.Evaluate proposed technical solutions and provide insight / comments to enhance program decisions on best course of action.Participate in technical analysis meetings and reviews.Develop briefings and present analysis results to government customer.Range integration with White Sands Missile Range and other potential launch sitesQualifications:10+ years of experience and a BS/MS engineering or systems engineering degree.Active Secret ClearanceBachelors Degree in related fieldAble to perform all functional duties independently.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with mid-to-upper level government managers with a high degree of professionalism.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Desired Qualifications:Experience with missile systems, to include telemetry; payloads; flight termination systems; propulsion systems; systems engineering, and launch operations.Experience working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a ProgramExperience working on flight testsExperience working with ranges.Current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or the ability to get one in 30 daysExperience operating trucks, forklifts and cranesExperience with ballistic missile target developmentAbility to travel up to 20-30% of the timePlease Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.#LI-AS1#mtsi#SMD22#LI-Onsite
