Mixed Animal Associate- Alvarado Vet Clinic -

American Association of Equine Practitioners, Alvarado, Texas, United States, 76009

Alvarado Veterinary Clinic is hiring! We are excited to offer full-time employment opportunities to a caring, energetic Veterinarian looking to find the right balance between large and small animal medicine, medicine and surgery, and opportunity and mentorship.Alvarado Veterinary Clinic (AVC) was founded in 1981.

We are still a privately owned practice!

We are located south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and offer a great chance to practice large animal medicine close to a thriving community.AVC is large enough to have all of the equipment you need to practice medicine at an extremely high level. Our 12 full-time doctors work together to create an atmosphere of collaboration, teamwork, and mentorship, all while remembering to have fun.Our case load is highly varied, from referral level surgery to primary care. It would not be uncommon to see a calf pull, TPLO, equine crypt surgery, and a canine splenectomy, all in the same day! We have three full box vet trucks for farm calls, and cover most of Johnson County, Texas. Emergency cases are covered in-house.In 2012, we started the first Private Practice Mixed Animal Internship listed on the VIRMP, having now trained over 52 interns. Internship positions should be applied for via the VIRMP website. We currently have 3 Interns.Along with all the benefits of practicing in a large hospital, AVC still works hard to offer the small-town community feel, the joy of being a part of a team, and the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference for the owners we help and the animals we serve. What makes AVC unique is the people. We are blessed to have great doctors and an entire team that has been built around support and a family-like atmosphere. In addition, our doctors are able to find and develop their skill set, both in large and small animal medicine. We look forward to learning from you and being able to share our experience. We expect our doctors to practice medicine the way they were trained, and to have the freedom to decide what is best for the animals and owners they are working with. In a time of corporate medicine and limiting veterinarians to being "just GPs", we encourage you to remember why you wanted to be a vet in the first place.AVC is offering you an opportunity for excellent pay, work-life balance, surgical and medical excellence in a mixed animal setting, all while living close to a major metroplex. We would love to talk with you more about our hospital and see if we may be a fit for you. Please contact us with any questions, and we look forward to meeting you!Contact Information:Dr. Kevin Beam - Partner817-648-5121 - cellBeamDVM@gmail.comAll veterinarians must be fully licensed to practice in the United States of America and be able to be licensed in the great state of Texas. A driver's license is required for farm calls.
