With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.HNTB is currently seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)/Traffic Operations Engineer II for our Traffic Operations/ITS/Tolling department. We are interested in someone that is highly motivated to help grow our ITS, Data Science, and Technology practice.As an Engineer II, you will be responsible for assisting in the production and delivery of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Alternative Technology, and Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) products such as Strategic Plans, Technical Reviews, O&M and Post-Let Management, Industry Presentations, Standard Operating Guidelines, and Specifications – on a statewide level. This role will work closely with the PM and the client traffic operations team to ensure successful delivery of projects throughout the state. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s clients.What You'll Do:Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.Responsible for preparation and/or modification for select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.Able to self-sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, orMaster’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience.What You'll Bring:Exhibiting proficiency in applying engineering principles in traffic operations work.Exhibiting experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, Synchro, CAD, and other software tools required for job assignments.Optimizing work processes by using knowledge of the most effective and efficient ways to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.What We Prefer:Master's degree in Engineering.Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.Interest in ITS and Traffic Operations.Additional InformationVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.Locations: Atlanta, GAAt HNTB, we are harnessing the power of collaboration and innovation to establish a new vision for the future of mobility across our country.
