Network Engineer
role within the Network Engineering and Design department. This individual must be an expert in Software Defined Networking with deep understanding of Networking Infrastructure and Network Topologies. This individual will be responsible for creating network designs, implementing network deployments, and providing level 4 operations support. This individual will lead the projects for crafting and deploying Network Infrastructure Solutions as per the business needs. This individual will interact with business partners, project managers, infrastructure implementation managers, facilities partners, server admins, application owners, and vendors for delivery and maintaining service level agreements.They must be able to break down complex business requirements into workable tasks and solutions from a network infrastructure standpoint.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Design network diagrams with VisioManage project tasks for network deploymentsPerform routing and switchingPerform weekend and late-night network deployments and maintenanceBe on call for a week every month for level 4 operations supportProvide onsite support in data centersMaintain proper documentation for the entire SDN environmentAdhere to all established methodologies, standards, and guidelinesFoster a positive environment and demonstrate successful relationship building with cross-functional teams and business partnersOrganizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and tasks concurrentlyIdentify and bring forward ideas to improve the overall support of Network InfrastructureRequired Qualifications5+ years of Network Engineering experience5+ years of Data Center Networking experience5+ years of routing and switching experience3+ years of architecture and design experience using Visio2+ years of experience in scripting and automation tools3+ years of Production Support work experience, with analytical skills for business reported issuesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in and/or leading dynamic cross-competency teams using a structured project methodology is strongly preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFunctional understanding of Routers, Switches, F5s, and FirewallsAbility to understand project dependencies and pro-actively fulfill all dependencies to meet deliverables on timeA willingness to learn new tools and technologies on a continuous basisBe a confident member of an evolving team willing to work hard to make a difference for peers, business, and other IT professionalsEducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is: $92,700.00 - $185,400.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
