Position DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Master Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our CGI team in Sacramento, CA! This is a client-facing full-time career opportunity to work on a highly visible transformation (Infrastructure services) project for one of our long-standing government clients!

This position is located in our Sacramento, CA office with work performed at client site in Roseville, CA and Gold River, CA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be at the client site 2-3 days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilitiesHow you'll make an impactThis role applies deep technical expertise to the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of AWS services.

Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments.

Manages AWS services, working with internal service groups as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements.

Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities.

Analyzes monitoring results to produce recommendations for improving system performance and operational efficiency.

Works with Infrastructure Engineer and Architect on issues related to AWS design and architecture and assists with Proof of Concept development and testing.

Works with peers within and beyond the Operations team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop & implement new solutions.

As needed, assists with the development of Operations white papers, proposals, and other documentation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this roleWhat you'll bring

AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience.

7+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail.

7+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.

3-5 years experience with Active Directory, LDAP or equivalent technologies.

Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution.

Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills.

Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies.

Experience working with third-party service providers such as vendors and internal support groups.

Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processes.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities (e.g. technical discussions with the client).

Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms.

Familiarity with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket) and other DevOps tools.

Strong Working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies.

Experience supporting fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff (e.g. CGI management and client staff).

Strong understanding of broader technology context (e.g. network and database technologies).

Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $94,400 - $165,200.
