10020 - 3800 PharmacyThis position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.Major Responsibilities:Responsible for designing future state workflow from a user perspective and delivering functional requirements; ensures that system design follows best practice design principles.Coordinates and leads clinical content development and maintenance within clinical applications, including Epic. Works closely with the build team to ensure product functional design matches system capabilities and architecture.Designs scalable and maintainable system solutions. Lead initiatives to optimize the system functionality and workflow processes using LEAN processes.Troubleshoots and works with the appropriate teams to develop resolution for issues that are identified.Maintains a process for periodic review of application content with updates to content as required by evidence and best practices and clinical requirements, with True North goals in mind.Designs, develops, and implements processes related to the clinical information systems and Electronic Health Record with minimal supervision.Facilitates multidisciplinary team - physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals to evaluate current state and develop future state design of applications by building consensus and using efficient decision-making processes.Designs the system that is user-friendly and that the User Interface layer presents content, format and navigation in a logical, useful and efficient manner for clinical use adhering to procedures and policies of the organization.Participates in hardware selection process to evaluate usability and ergonomics.Recommends innovative ideas, processes, and/or procedures for enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing systems.Functions as a subject matter expert and liaison between clinicians, business owners and build team to design solutions.Understands application requirements from clinical, quality, regulatory, and operational perspectives.Position is a key resource in evaluating errors, clinical result formats and process improvements for interfaced results and orders.Participates in design of data management to ensure availability of information for clinical, quality, regulatory, and operational needs.Responsible for project management activities of assigned projects related to the Electronic Medical Record seeing it through the life cycle - planning, designing, development, testing, end user training, implementation support and adoption.Develops process flow charts for department workflows and creates detailed program specifications and flowcharts.Utilizes project management methodologies to help lead system-wide clinical teams in developing and implementing standardized care transformation processes.Ensures that design connects evidence-based clinical literature and guidelines and promotes evidence-based practice.Ensures that design reduces unnecessary variation in care and care processes promoting standardization across the healthcare system.Monitors and reports on system implementation and tracks progress towards reaching goals and outcomes.Creates and implements change management plans using LEAN model.Assists in developing and implementing organizational strategies to move the electronic clinical system toward an integrated computerized patient record across entities, inpatient to outpatient and for the patients' use. Oversees continuous learning and facilitates end-user adoption and change management methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.Reviews and refines training content and communications to clinical end-users to ensure relevance and significance.Participates in rounding and providing "at the elbow" support in real time.Protects the confidentiality of information in all areas of responsibility by preventing unauthorized release of information both verbally and in writing.Position will require travel between hospitals, and/or ambulatory clinics and/or Front Street and Worcester Business Center.Position may require participating in meetings outside of normal business hours including occasional evenings and/or weekend; coverage during go-live events required; on-call shifts may be required.Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:PharmD. Degree or equivalent training in Pharmacy.
