Lead Software Engineer

( Raleigh, NC ). Contribute to the architecture and design of multiple systems across the organization and influence the technical vision behind the platform. Play a strategic functional role in guiding engineering teams toward next-generation architecture and engineering capabilities, including but not limited to:Building Cloud Native applications leveraging Azure servicesLeveraging continuous integration and delivery toolsApplying a Services or API First approach to building applicationsUsing event-based or messaging-based architecturesDelivering multi-tenant applicationsImplementing proof of concepts, frameworks or librariesRemoving technical obstaclesDevelop and maintain "as is" and "to be" system architecture documentation including infrastructure architecture, application and security architecture, integration architecture, and the underlying enterprise data architecture/data dictionary. Work with development teams to establish and enforce best practices for software quality across the organization. Work with project managers and development teams to define and improve the software development methodology and processes for the organization.Minimum Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment. Also requires 6 years of experience:Using relational database technologiesPerforming database designIn lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a PhD or foreign equivalent degree and 1 year of experience as stated. Also requires 1 year of experience:Working with transaction and information systems, message brokers and enterprise integration patternsWorking with enterprise class software requirements including security, scalability, and usabilityWorking in all aspects of SDLC managementDeveloping and implementing technical and system architecture plansFollowing architecture methodologiesAssessing architecture risk and trade-offs with limited informationWorking in at least three of the following areas: business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security disciplines, or operational disciplinesDeveloping and architecting scalable service-oriented solutionsPosition reports to Raleigh, NC office. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
